Chopin is an expansion for Karolinska University Hospital at the Huddinge, that will include modern environments for surgery, intervention, imaging and a new sterilization unit. The total area of Chopin is 29000m2 and it is 4-stories high.
The new building is located in the extension of the hospital’s wings in order to maximize existing hospital function (facilities, infrastructure and workflows) as effectively as possible, while all new operating theatres are located along the facades, with daylight and beautiful views over the park.
